Front Row Motorsports
A Team with Momentum on Its Side
Over the past decade of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing, there has only been one team that has stood the difficulties of successfully starting up a new operation. That team is Front Row Motorsports, owned by restaurant entrepreneur and Tennessee native Bob Jenkins.
Today, Front Row Motorsports has surpassed the initial challenges of preparing weekly. Since its humble beginnings, the team has moved into a sprawling, state-of-the-art racing facility located in Statesville, N.C. It is here where the organization houses the No. 34 Long John Silver’s Ford team of driver Travis Kvapil and the No. 37 ExtenZe Ford team of driver Kevin Conway.
After the team was founded as Means-Jenkins Racing in 2004, Bob Jenkins took full ownership in 2005 and has seen its growth in stature blossom in the Sprint Cup garage the past five seasons. The 2009 racing season proved to be a season of foundation. With driver John Andretti, the team competed with an entry in every event and secured a place in the top-35 in Sprint Cup owner points and thus the first five events in 2010. Moving into 2010, for the first time Ford Racing, a proven winner in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition, will help carry two full-time Sprint Cup entries for Front Row Motorsports to the track. The team will also have the technical support of Ford and lease engines from the powerful Roush/Yates Racing Engines camp.
Off the track, Front Row Motorsports has continued to evolve into a powerful marketing platform. This is the case for the 2010 racing season when Front Row Motorsports welcomes ExtenZe as the primary sponsor of Kevin Conway and the No. 37 Ford. Long John Silver’s and Taco Bell will return as primary sponsors of the No. 34 Ford driven by Travis Kvapil. The team is known for superior service to its partners.
From modest beginnings, Front Row Motorsports now has a foundation to build upon and momentum from sustained success in 2009. It is one of the very few new teams to come into this difficult landscape and succeed, and it is now looking to build on this momentum and be a race organization for crew members, drivers, team leaders and partners to thrive with in the coming years.
